Malvina Lorida is a Doctor of Acupuncture, East Asian Medicine educator, movement specialist, and performance artist.

She is a NYS & VT licensed acupuncturist and NCBAHM Diplomate, with a Doctor of Acupuncture and Master of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health & Science. She is also a 500-hour Advanced Yoga teacher, a licensed GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® instructor, and a Comprehensive Pilates instructor.

While she treats a broad range of conditions, her specialties include emotional disorders, substance use, and fertility support. Her treatments draw from a wide array of modalities, including abdominal palpation, tuina, cupping, gua sha, moxa, and electroacupuncture.

She is also a certified acudetox specialist, an advocate of the NADA protocol and Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB), and an Integrative Nutrition Health Advisor from IIN with a focus on detoxification, women’s health, and emotional eating.

In addition to her private practice, Malvina has provided care in harm reduction centers and has taught Continuing Education courses in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu, Advanced Cupping Techniques, and Eastern Nutrition at institutions in the US, Greece, and Costa Rica.

Today, she splits her time between New York City and the Hudson Valley, offering acupuncture, movement guidance, and private treatments through Soma Heal.
